I’m basing this opinion of Voxengo’s SPAN on years of personal experience in mixing and mastering. This analyzer is superior to all others I’ve used, many of them setting me back some hard earned cash. The waveform peak information in this analyzer is accurate and useful, from the top to the bottom of the frequency range. That is saying a lot, because most analyzers are pretty useless in the bass ranges, but this one gives invaluable data on what frequencies are causing problems with immense precision. There may be some commercial analyzers that can compete, but to be honest, SPAN does everything I need extremely well. It has quickly become the last word in my environment as to what is going on where. You know the old saying: if you don’t get it, you don’t get it. That most definitely applies to SPAN.
