Jear Bear here with another product review. I have always loved the sound of spring reverbs. Maybe it’s all the roots reggae I listened to back in the 80s. Whatever the case, they have a great sound. I haven’t been all that amazed by the software versions of them in general. They lacked the depth and character I have thirsted for. But recently I came across this baby, and I have to say it’s worth a lot more than the asking price of 19 Euros. In other words, it’s a no brainer. Some years back, I spent around a hundred bucks for a spring verb from a very reputable company with a product lineup that I typically swear by. Such pricy purchases pale in contrast to the GSi Type4. They honestly don’t even come close to its quality. The Type4 is the only software spring reverb that immediately lept into my soul.
